
Mission 89’s aim is to mitigate child trafficking in sports through research, education, and the implementation of mandatory regulations to keep sports training academies accountable for the safety and well-being of children in their care.
During my part-time internship (April 2020-September 2020) as Social Media Assistant at Mission 89, I was in charge of creating, leading and managing a social media campaign. This campaign was focussed on human trafficking within football and took place during the football summer transfer window dates. I started by creating the whole concept for the campaign to be launched June 15th 2020. I then proceeded to gathering information from research assistants at Mission 89 and other outside sources such as the official Ambassador of Mission 89 and a collaboration with EFAA.
Part of my work was also content creation, therefore, I was in charge of creating visuals/graphics for this campaign. They were all created using Photoshop.
Finally, I took a big part in video editing. I edited this interview below with Faisal Paktian, a colleague of mine during the intenrship
